We are looking for a fulltime Packaging Engineer to join our Packaging Engineering department, which is a part of our Marketing department. As a packaging engineer you are directly linked to sales. Where the technical knowledge of sales stops, that is the point where you come in. Your contribution often gives the final push to win new customers

Responsibility:
In an efficient way increase packaging knowledge and support sales team by offering packaging solutions as part of the commercial report to convince (future) customers

Main tasks:

• Make packaging designs and perform tests for (potential) end users.
• Test and compare competitive products according to existing and new to develop test procedures.
• Execute training programs for distributors, end users and Ranpak sales force.
• Advise distributors and Ranpak sales force technically on packaging matters.
• Monitor the European regulations regarding packaging (waste), determine the effects on competitive materials and keep sales force up to date of relevant consequences in their specific regions.
• Give significant contribution to new developments by creating ideas and testing new Ranpak products and systems to determine the packaging characteristics.

Profile

• Bachelor grade (technical).
• Experience in the packaging market (3yrs+).
• Should fit in young, open and dynamic sales team.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Strong in communication and convincing.
• Good presentation and authoring skills.
• Willing to travel abroad frequently.
• Fluent in English and German, preferably mastering French.
• Experienced user of PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
